In our own words…
“The Coco lounge in Nottingham is one of the most popular bars in Nottingham on a Friday and Saturday night. Aimed at the beautiful people, the interior aims to add something different to the traditional bar culture with a palm tree, big leather couches and an open fire place.
Dressing to impress is advised to avoid getting that feeling you are out of place, because you can guarantee 99% of everyone else drinking there will have made an effort to look their best in this place! The drinks are as expensive as you would expect in this kind of a bar, and the lay out of the bar and drinking area and create some what of a scrum during busy periods.
That said, the Coco Lounge in Nottingham is a safe bet for a good night out as either a stop off drink or if you want to bed down for the night in one place.”

“Champagne, Cocktails, Premium spirits, Belgian beers, DJs and live entertainment over three floors.
An eclectic palette of gold ornate chandeliers, iridescent textured wall coverings, rich velvet drapes and leather fixed seating creates an opulent ambience on first and second floors.
By contrast, the ground floor now has a traditional ‘gentleman’s club’ feel with timber wall panelling, gilded framed paintings subtlety illuminated with polished brass picture lights and focal point fireplace.”

“Tantra is by far the sexiest club – lounge bar and one of the hippiest in Nottingham. Arrive early as lengthy queues tend to build up. It’s Sassy, Classy, Passionate and Intimate.
As you make your way past the Scrutinizing doormen, you will enter a world of beauty. (Tantra is a boutique club not like the mega clubs) which adds to the intimacy as incense fills the air – a real aphrodisiac! With it’s fabulous low slung sofas, beds and Tantric philosophy, the sexual energy is just beautiful – be sure to serve one of the huge beds draped in red linen, where glamorous people lounge on plush large cushions – shoeless!”

In our own words…
Brownes Bar in Nottingham is one of the large group of bars in the Goose Gate/ Hockley area, and a short walk away from one of two Nottingham Revolution Bars. The theme is comfortable drinking in a trendy enviornment with plenty of seating. Thanks to this, Brownes is a venue you can easily spend all evening in, as one stop of many or as a pre-club bar.
It is worth noting that large groups of men will struggle to get in, and the advice is to break up in to smaller groups and stagger your entry.

In our own words…
One of two Revolution bars in Nottingham (Click here for the Revolution in Hockley), this one is part of the cornerhouse leisure complex next to the Slug & Lettuce.
As you would expect with a Revolution bar, the venue is popular for the better dressed side of the city and large groups, whilst not excluded, aren’t overly welcome either unless you phone ahead.
Great for grabbing a seat, a pitcher of cocktails, a tray of vodka shots and having a laugh before hitting a club.

In our own words…
Reflex night club in Nottingham is as 80’s inspired as you’d expect from such a name and when you see the neon sign outside any doubts as to the kind of night you are in for will soon be forgotten. Once you step inside you will wonder what happened to the past 20 years or so as you see a dance floor last seen in a 80s Only Fools and Horses Christmas special!
If you want to spend your night standing by the bar posing, dancing to ’serious’ dance music or being ’seen’, then avoid this place like the plague. If you want a night out to let your hair down with a group of friends and just have a good time then seriously consider Reflex as your final destination for the night. A good combo when you throw in a visit to Flares in Nottingham too.

“Located in the Chapel Quarter, Fat Cat is set over two floors. The ground floor has the main bar and informal dining with comfy sofas making it the perfect place to sit back and relax.
The first floor accommodates a 60 seater restaurant offering the same menu as downstairs. The outside seating area comes in to its own in the summer where you can watch the world go by with the same great table service as inside.”
