• The food’s pretty good here too and a good place to start off the night. Tend to start here and then work my way towards the cornerhosue area, vaoiding most of the pubs down that street on the way mind!
• I took my gf here on one of our first dates and we both really enjoyed it. Decent atmosphere with out feeling like we have been crammed in to a sardine tin. I’m surprised its not busier to be honest

  i never left this place in the lat 80s when a student at trent- never had a bad night in it yet. basic sawdust and spit ingredient never failed and never any trouble in it no matter how much drink taken – a gem
