The Irish Centre is Nottingham’s clubbing equivalent of marmite, you either love it or you hate it and be warned there is no middle ground with The Irish. Bringing back memories of Church or school discos, the design is unique to say the least, with a lot of wood and open spaces and minimal decor.
What is does offer is a very relaxed door policy with regards to dress code and groups (and how much you have already had!) and a large dance floor with room to throw yourself around in. It is also, to be blunt, well known as a meat market!

i never left this place in the lat 80s when a student at trent- never had a bad night in it yet. basic sawdust and spit ingredient never failed and never any trouble in it no matter how much drink taken – a gem
The meatiest meat market known to man, this is a club(??) to behold on every level. Top draw!
I can’t believe this is still open! Every time I walk past I expect it to be closed. I suppose that shows what cheap drinks, zero door policy and a guarantee of pulling will do for a business!
