Serve a wicked Japanese lager here, I was surprised it did anything like that. It looks like an old man’s pub on the outside and I expected the usual suspects behind the bar (Carling etc) but its got a good choice of lagers and bitters. Good atmosphere on Sat night too

I used to love coming here on a Saturday night when they had that cheesy night with the dancers on the stage. I’m not sure if they do it any more (I’ve heard they don’t) but those were great nights. Almost felt like a school disco in the school hall :) - Bar Risa
It’s OK for a quick pint but I wouldn’t settle down for the night here. Maybe best as part of a mini pub crawl around the waterfront’s collections of bars, but i wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

this place has at least got some character, and its great if you live in the park too! the teeny boppers going past to get to to BZR are a laugh to watch too!

I work nearby and we always go here for a drink after work on a friday during the summer. Nice view of the castle too!
