The Castle Pub in Nottingham can be found directly opposite the entrance to Nottingham castle and is a popular venue for after work drinkers

, especially on a Friday evening.  The seating area outside makes for a pleasant urban drink on a summer’s evening after work, on a Saturday afternoon or at night over the weekend!

The Castle Pub does not try to break any new ground, serving the usual range of lagers, bitters and wine you would expect at most pubs as well as the traditional pub meal fare. What it does offer is plenty of room inside and outside to enjoy your drink, in a friendly but lively atmosphere. It also acts as a great stop off point after Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem as you work your way in to Nottingham city centre on your way to more Nottingham bars.

It’s not a final venue or somewhere you stay for more than a couple of drinks, but as a stopping off point or a getting warmed up there are few better.
