In our own words…
Part of the national chain of pubs, this is bang in the centre of Nottingham opposite Tantra night club and only a short walk from the Hockley area which contains many more bars. There is nothing at the Nottingham Hogs Head you wouldn’t expect with the usual lagers, pub food and a bit of pool.
Probably more suited to a few drinks during the day than night time drinking, although a worthy pit stop if you are making your way across town.

In our own words…
The Slug & Lettuce in Nottingham is part of the Cornerhouse leisure complex north of Nottingham’s city centre, surrounded by loads of bars and great palces to eat. The Slug & Lettuce itself is fairly typical of the chain with a mixture of leather couches and plenty of seating and standing space, serving food late on in to the night.
The door policy is not too strict on a Friday and Saturday and decent sized groups shouldn’t struggle too much getting in early on although it can get very busy as the night progresses.

“Part of the national J D Wetherspoon chain of pubs, this is in a great location just off the City’s market square. Only a short walk away from numerous others bars and pubs, the cheap drinks and food are a magnet for many drinkers.
With little or no door policy in place, no matter what you are wearing or how many of you there are, a few cheap drinks here are always on the cards.
Not a venue to stay for too long, but a good choice to get warmed up.”

In our own words…
“Part of the famous US chain of bars, Nottingham’s Hooters is the first choice for many drinkers wanting to watch live sport thanks to the number of screens available. It is also very popular with stag do’s and birthday groups thanks to the table service and the peoplee serving those table!
It isn’t the cheapest plaace to go and it’s location outside of the centre doesn’t lend itself to being part of the main night out, but it serves as a great starting point if their is a group of you, especially if you want some food to line the stomach as well.”

In our own words…
“Located on the bank of Nottingham’s canal, the Canal House is part of a small complex of pubs and bars based around the canal.
During the summer it is one of the busiest areas of Nottingham and one of the best places to go for the start of a night out or to grab a relaxing drink and maybe a bite to eat too. To get a seat on warm days getting there early is recommended.
It also serves as a very popular starting point for stag and hen parties during the wedding build up season!”
