In their own words…
“In 25 years, Nottingham has transformed itself into one of the country’s finest cities for live music, and it’s no exaggeration to say Rock City has been a main factor in that progression. Scores of venues have popped up in its wake, and they all have their own particular charm and offer to the city. ‘City’ did it first and did it best. Show us someone from Notts under the age of 60 who has never stepped through the doors of Rock City, and we’ll show you someone who’s had a wasted life.”

In our own words…
“Part of the national J D Wetherspoon chain of pubs, this is in a great location just off the City’s market square. Only a short walk away from numerous others bars and pubs, the cheap drinks and food are a magnet for many drinkers.
With little or no door policy in place, no matter what you are wearing or how many of you there are, a few cheap drinks here are always on the cards.
Not a venue to stay for too long, but a good choice to get warmed up.”

In our own words…
“Located on the bank of Nottingham’s canal, the Canal House is part of a small complex of pubs and bars based around the canal.
During the summer it is one of the busiest areas of Nottingham and one of the best places to go for the start of a night out or to grab a relaxing drink and maybe a bite to eat too. To get a seat on warm days getting there early is recommended.
It also serves as a very popular starting point for stag and hen parties during the wedding build up season!”
