The customer will simply tap their debit or credit card on to the ticket machine when they get on skylink Derby and tap off before they leave. All of the customers’ contactless journeys will be processed overnight, and the best fare for those journeys will be charged to the customer’s card.

Look for the contactless symbol on your credit or debit card to see if your card is contactless enabled. Then, board a bus with the contactless symbol and instead of paying with cash, simply tap your card or contactless-enabled device onto the reader and wait for the beep.
Do buses take card payments?
If you make another bus or tram journey within an hour of touching in on a bus or tram, your second journey will be free. UK issued contactless payment cards are accepted, just look out for the contactless symbol.
How do mango cards work?
Bus travel has never been easier with our mango app. Scan the QR code as you board the bus, and again as you leave. Once you hit our day, 7 day or 28 day caps any further travel will be free.
Just ask your friendly driver for your ticket, Kinchkard or top-up amount (up to £30) then hold your contactless card or device on to the contactless reader. You can also travel contactless or use contactless payments with your mobile devices i.e. Apple Pay & Google Pay. You may be able to save more money on your fare.
